Who is G.C. Martin? G.C. Martin, Grounded in truth and reality, Conscious of the state of the world, and Martin, his middle name and an ultimate representation of him speaking his truth. Biracial and adopted into a white family, The G.C. lifestyle was never really about fitting in. G.C. Martin always seemed to be getting into trouble, whether it was suspensions for doing backflips off the swings in elementary school, or getting sent to a Lockdown “Theraputic” Boarding School in Idaho his senior year because he smoked marijuana everyday which cause problems with his family at home. Simply being himself was considered a form of delinquency to the world around him. When G.C. moved from Orinda to East Oakland, he was able to gain a more comprehensive perspective from living a different lifestyle. Growth through meditation, nature and self exploration became part of daily life. He became Co-Founder of a weekly hike and meditation group in the Bay Area called The Cleanse Club. After a couple years of releasing music on all platforms G.C. Martin’s “New School Move”, produced by Strngs, got picked up by Octavia Spencer’s “Truth Be Told'' Streaming on Apple TV+ and aired on the Season 1 finale, and is now exclusively featured on the show. “Bad Habits'' is a first attempt at creating a Bay Area Anthem.
