A multi-talented songwriter, rapper, vocalist, producer, and percussionist, 09XXI is making thoughtful, introspective, and conscious music driven by the desire to reach the souls of all those that hear it. Born and raised in Canada, 09XXI (a stage name based on his date of birth) had an affinity for music from an early age, constantly finding ways to create rhythms. He began playing the drums at the age of 11. At the age of 17, he started to write his own music. After years of honing his craft, he began to release his own music during the COVID-19 pandemic. He first released multiple beat tapes before releasing his debut rap EP titled "Nanny's Prayer". This EP heavily touched on the social climate of the time and showcased his passion for human rights and justice. Since then, 09XXI has consistently put out singles and projects that speak to the human experience through the lens of his life journey as well as the experiences of those around him. 09XXI continues to constantly impress with every release, showcasing his ability to write well thought out verses with catchy and soulful hooks that are enjoyable to sing and rap along to. Often turning his pain into purpose, 09XXI's versatility allows him to create relatable anthems that have been loved by listeners around the world.
