Cincinnati, Ohio based rapper and producer Mos Emvy (pronounced most-emvee), whose real name is Bryan McCorvey, works to capture listeners with creative story telling over an electronic soundscape. Inspired by a variety of genres he looks to bring in multiple styles when creating his work. All of this is done while talking about life, love, pain, personal experiences, and world issues. Mos Emvy was first introduced to music in his early teens from his father showing him music software that he had purchased. Fascinated by what he had seen and heard Mos Emvy began to use the software to make his own instrumentals. After some time of making beats Mos Emvy began to rap over what he was creating. As he grew older he drew inspiration from music by Nas, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Linkin Park and JAY-Z as well as the industrial influence from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails. Becoming more serious about his music in his late teens to his early twenties he knew that he wanted to create something diverse that could be genre-less.
