Biography

Allan Thomas' began singing in Brooklyn, NY with doo-wop vocal groups at 12 YO. 
 At age 18 Scepter Records released Allan's 1st 45-RPM single. 
 A songwriter at 19, Thomas played many of the intimate coffee houses of NYC's Greenwich Village. 
 In 1971 Sire Records released Allan's 1st album of original songs ‘A Picture’. He toured the US opening for Cannonball Adderley Quintet, Weather Report and Richie Havens. 
 In 1972 Mr Thomas improvised vocals on the Cannonball Adderley Quintet song ‘Behold’ as Arthur Charma. 
 He relocated to Hawaii in the early ’80’s and released his 2nd album ‘The Island’ (1989) featuring Russell Ferrante of The Yellowjackets. 
 ‘Coconut Culture’ (1997) produced and mixed by Mike Shipley, features Graham Nash. 
 AT was assistant engineer on Donald Fagen’s (Steely Dan) 3rd solo CD ‘Morph The Cat’, and played rhythm guitar and sang backing vocals for Fagen and Todd Rundgren in concert in 2005. 
 ‘Making Up For Lost Time’ (2007) features Graham Nash, Tris Imboden (Chicago) drums and Jimmy Johnson (James Taylor) bass. 
 ‘Deep Water’ (2012) mixed by Mike Shipley features David Crosby, Graham Nash and members of the Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Neil Young, Van Morrison and Yellowjackets bands. 
 ‘Two Sides To Every Story’ (2018) features Keith Carlock of Steely Dan, Jimmy Johnson, and Russell Ferrante and Will Kennedy of the Yellowjackets. 
 Presently we are 6 songs into album #7, releasing a single every month. Stay tuned for a 2021 release.
