Hierba is an artist, songwriter, and co-label founder of The Party People Recordz. Born in 1994 in Guatemala city, Guatemala as Herberth Castaneda, but raised in Tacoma, Washington definitely gives him a different type of bilingual sound. Hierba started making music in 2014. He was introduced to Poohski, who comes from a 4th generation of music in the family, by his brother Guatty and soon their cousin Kazo joined and from there was no looking back. The Party People was born and they have 3 projects out : "The Party Album" "The After Party" and "La Gente De Fiesta." Hierba believes his sound is alternative rap, with mixed elements from hip hop, rock and urban latino contemporary. "My music has a little bit of everything for everyone from songs that will make you want to turn up, dance, and party all the way to songs that will have you in your feelings based off my real life experiences with Love, Family, and Addictions."-Hierba Hierba's most recent E.P. dropped on valentines day, February 14, 2020, and he called it "Damaged" saying that while everyone was in love, he was damaged. In the E.P. he talks about his past relationships and how they have impacted his addictions, his emotions, his views on other people and himself, along with regret and decisions he has to live with. Hierba says he just wants to be relatable to everyone when it comes to music and although the first one is more sad, stay tuned because as he says, "I am Damaged, but I am not broken."
