Ollin Kan is the new music project around Renato Márquez, a violinist with Belgian-Mexican roots. During the corona pandemic, Renato started writing a new album, giving free rein to his creative self. The result is 'Petrichor', an eclectic record with Southern, Eastern, classical and Western influences. Live, Ollin Kan performs this quirky music flanked by ace musicians - and good friends - Steven Vergauwen (guitar), Stijn Tondeleir (bass guitar) and Eric Bosteels (drums). Ollin Kan does not easily fit into one musical genre, but herein lies the freshness and challenge for the music fan. It takes the listener into a new world that does not leave you unmoved and lets you dream away to a 'Petrichor' universe. Renato started his career as a violinist and guitarist at a very young age. In doing so, he followed in the footsteps of his father, a very famous saxophonist called Luiz Márquez. In recent years, Renato has been part of the live band of internationally renowned French DJ Klingande, with whom he toured all over the world.
