As a young artist having grown up in New York and currently living in Paris, Godie’s music is guided by his desire to combine genres and create an intimate sound kindled by his American roots but European surroundings. As the son of a Jazz musician, he promised himself to perpetuate that legacy, and in his song “Elevator Music”, Godie alludes to the influence Jazz has on his identity as an artist. When Godie released his first album “A Flying Dream'' at 14 years old, he attempted not only to experiment with the type of music that aligned with his artistic direction, but also undertook a lifelong quest of self discovery.
