Veteran; a dynamic singer-song writer who hails from South East London; raised on the influences he has experienced – told through his music. Starting with just a mic and a computer, Vet’s career began with recording songs with school friends in his bedroom. Possessing an eclectic taste in genres including classical, funky house, reggae and UK rap the culmination of this and his love for music continued to develop with his first music video released in 2014 titled ‘Persistence’. Spending the majority of his summer holiday that year perfecting his art in the youth club studio, Veterans growing appetite and passion was clear to see in each song made. His family provided the foundations for the love of music; exposing Veteran to the sounds of Bob Marley, Tarrus Riley, Whitney Houston and Lauren Hill. These influences plus his own education can be witnessed in the music he produces with his unique Afro-soul, RNB vibe curated around commercial drill. Saucy yet relatable; his music tells a story that can be taken back to his Jamaican heritage.
