Aced Spade is a producer from the North side of Chicago, who began making music at 11 years old. Started out releasing random beats and remixes on soundcloud, it wasn't until 2015 when Spade started making original music with Marko Stat$. Spade produced 7 out of 13 tracks for Marko's debut mixtape "Lost Souls" and majority of the tracks on Marko's recent project BEE-4 I FLY AWAY. In 2017, Spade began releasing his own original music with the bass heavy, bouncy banger, Eclipse, and over 2 years, he kept releasing singles ranging from smooth hip hop sounds on Slumped to dance house music vibes found on Thirsty Thursday. Spade like to keep his range very broad because "it enables one to not be conformed or limited to one's creativity." You can clearly hear this philosophy being displayed on Spade's 2019 EP, D4rk, an EP creating a eerie vibe for the Halloween season, which when the EP was released. Spade continues to challenge himself in expanding his sound following up with another EP released a year later in 2020 called Ten Twenty. Ten Twenty is a project that documented how Spade felt during the infamous year of being quarantined because of COVID-19 and also witnessing a lot of civil unrest all over the world. Spade wanted to translate his emotions into sound, which present when you take a listen to the smooth, eerie and bouncy, Cold World, the abstract and night-like sounds in Take a Little Time, or gritty, rally-like song, Riot.
