Biography

Singer, Songwriter and Producer Khotso has been hopelessly hooked on melodies of all kinds since as long as he can remember. From Hip-Hop and R&B music to the most effervescent of Afrobeat and traditional African Rhythms, to even the most emotive choral and classical music, he has always been tremendously influenced by it. Over the years, it became his obsession to combine these different sounds to create something new, fresh and unique. Khotso absorbed many lessons about traditional South African music. This education was taken even further by his longtime musical association with Lebo M, professionally known as “The Voice and Spirit of The Lion King”. He co-wrote the song “Uzothol’ukuthi”, with Lebo. The song is performed by Lebo M and multi-platinum Grammy-Award winning South African global icons Ladysmith Black Mambazo. He was part of the South African Studio Recording Team for the Recording of African voices for Disney’s Live Action Remake of “The Lion King”. The Soundtrack was released in September 2019. He is also featured on the single One Nation Africa with Nthakoana and Damario. Khotso’s musical education has now been seasoned by his many years living in Lesotho, working with all types of local musicians from Hip Hop artists and church choirs, to traditional Accordion “famo” music. His music combines all of his many influences in a very natural way that will appeal to music lovers of all types of genres all over the world.
