Jabre "Saintx Bre" Relaford, formerly known as Brefontaine, is a proud representative of southwest Atlanta. He was brought up in a house of music and film where his parents usually played a variety of music and had family movie nights, which ultimately inspired him to be an actor. And then there was Hip-Hop. Coming up in an era where rap culture was largely unaccepted, this intrigued the young artist to be. "There was something in rap that reminded me of movies and comics. Characters, purpose and flaws, but also freedom." This would be the beginning of what he calls "the actor who happens to rap." After years of working with both locals and legends, like Slim of 112, Amon Tobin (as Brefontaine), Rock City and even an uncredited feature as a guitarist for Chris Brown (Gravity), Saintx began to feel stagnant and trapped in his craft. After months of debating, he sold most of his belongings, and began to backpack across America. Without computer or camera he'd take his beloved iPhone and film his travels and record original songs, but only releasing them on social media. "At the time, I didn't think what I was doing was anything special. I mainly was recording demos and ideas so I wouldn't forget them." His new single The Sun would prove otherwise.
