Biography

Throughout his diverse career Alberto collaborated with the likes of G. Gaslini, B. Tommaso, G. Schuller G. Trovesi, M.P. De Vito, D. Torto, A. Sheppard, G. Schiaffini, D. Betti, E. Dean, T. Berne, T. Scott, M. Schneider, C. Mariano, J. Riley, C. Taylor, X. Girotto, J. Surman and A. Braxton. He founded the Phoebus Ensemble and collaborated on the creation of Trumpet Buzz duo, Brasserie Trio, Rara Jazz Quartet, 4tune Quartet and Enten Eller, and held seminars in Seville, Lecco, Mexico City, Pretoria, Courmayeur, Cogne, Rovereto, Merano Chatillon, Laurino and Cannes. Member of the Italian Instabile Orchestra, from 1995 to 2004 he was part of the orchestra of Paolo Conte. He composed the music for the short film Nanà (best film at the Cinecittà Holding 2005 festival) and made several shows such as RotaAzione, Love Song, E(x)tizione, Astratte Mutazioni, Io nel pensier mi fingo, Il Rock and Boom! (on texts by Massimo Cotto). Professor of Jazz Trumpet at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan, Alberto has also taught in Parma, Como, Trieste and Brescia. He has performed in the most important European, American and Asian cities and has recorded about 100 albums (LP and CD).
