Mimar Sinan is the most well-known artist nobody has ever heard of. He is a beat-maker whose spaced out, sample-heavy beats are only just starting to emerge. His music is intended to be rhymed over, but is designed to be enjoyed as stand-alone music as well. Somewhere between Hip-hop instrumentals, Electronic music, and Remixes/Mash-ups, it's hard to define exactly what Mimar Sinan's music is. Nobody knows who he really is either, and he remains enigmatic; he currently resides somewhere in Sub-terranean New York City, underneath the underground, plotting his ascent. There are theories abound that he is a visitor from outer space; such is the depth of ignorance as to who this beat-maker really is, where he's come from, if he's even just one person, and of course most of all, what name could be written down on a litigious document re: copyrights infringements.
