Jo Wedin & Jean Felzine’s new album is a French soul/pop « bijoux » reminiscent of the American seventies (Minnie Riperton, Shuggie Otis, Carole King, but also Blondie). Classy melodies, lustrous piano phrases, funky rhythms, percussion (congas, vibraphone), phased guitars and synth strings, all building on themes of the daily life of a couple: arguments, love, passion and gender tension. Together they chart new territory around relationships in the era of « Me too ».
