NXT MZK, previously known as Himig ng Lahi, emerged from Psalmer Pagalan and his wife Rev. Jean's vision in the mid-1990s during their involvement with Bread of Life Ministries (BOLM) in Valenzuela City. In 2008, Himig Ng Lahi officially formed under Jean's leadership at Crossroad Center, BOLM's central church, at the 3 and 6 pm services. Later, conducting Praise and Worship seminars across different locations around the Philippines and the world. Psalmer Pagalan, the driving force behind NXT MZK, is a versatile artist—producer, arranger, songwriter, and musician. His mission is to nurture emerging talents and explore diverse music genres, especially those appealing to younger audiences. Starting his musical journey in his youth, Psalmer held leadership roles in bands and earned accolades in songwriting competitions. As he matured, he delved into music production for various media platforms and served as a musical director in churches, producing albums across different genres. Currently, Psalmer collaborates closely with his son, Hans Pagalan, an aspiring artist. Their partnership began with Hans's debut single "I AM" in November 2022, followed by 7 digital singles. On February 23, 2024, Psalmer and Hans unveiled "GRWNUPSHT," Hans's debut album featuring 16 tracks in English, Tagalog, and Cebuano, showcasing experimental sounds and diverse styles, reflecting their shared passion for musical innovation.
