‘If Avicii’s musicality met Daft Punk funkiness in a modern age’ Growing up in the suburbs of Paris in a family of five, Guillaume’s first contact with music was probably his parents’ versatile collection of records playing in the living room. Lulled by bands like Dire Straits and The Police, the French artist quickly picked up on guitar at a young age. Self taught Music Producer and DJ, Gamys’ first contact with club music was thanks to his father listening to classic dance music records in the car. Later on, artists like Avicii and Kygo acted as a trigger to start music production. Combining and absorbing all those influences allowed him to stand out in his productions and the way he approaches genres in music. Subtly blending Melodic House, Disco and Pop influences, Gamys has a love for funky yet melodic elements. After signing 2 record deals with French labels in 2017 and in 2019 and accumulating over 80k streams, his move to London is beginning to get the interest of the UK music industry. Regularly performing at venues such as 93 Feet East and Ministry Of Sound, Gamys is currently working on multiple releases, collaborating with London-based talents as well as working on his own solo material. Rounding up 2023 with his new song 'Not Enough of You', live events and gigs, this is an exciting time for the French DJ/Producer. His debut EP is in the making, set to be released early next year.
