EMIEE is a Polish pop-electronic music duo formed in 2013 by Dagmara Smolik (vocalist, songwriter) and Michał Zapart (producer) in Cracow. They describe their music as a combination of melancholic vocals, modern beats with 90's vibes. The duo uses a mix of synthesisers, acoustic instruments, electric guitars and vocal processors to achieve their unique sound. The idea of making music occurred when they met together for the first time in 2009. The strong influences of electronic music joined some vintage pop inspirations. They started to record songs and play with a previous music band. However, their passion for making music in their style led to forming a duo: EMIEE. All their songs are produced by them: from writing the lyrics, compositions, production and mastering. In 2019 EMIEE released their first EP called Melodies and four months later, they signed off a contract with a British label, OML Sync. Until now, they released several singles: Old Vibes, Your Life, Manipulation, Honey Bye Bye, Lights of the Night and remixes.
