Having been a fan of the music since the height of the Jungle explosion back in the early 1990’s, whilst still at school collecting tape packs and tuning into stations such as Kool FM, Rude FM and Unity, DJ Catalyst began dj-ing at local house parties in Kent and South East London soon after. It was in the late 90's and after submitting his first mix demo tapes, he began playing warm up sets at local Club nights. Wanting to push his name out further he soon began playing on various radio stations, the first of which was a local youth station called Fusion FM which only had a temporary licence. Not long after it was pioneering internet radio station UKRumble.com who gave Catalyst a regular show. 2005 then saw the beginning of years of weekly radio shows on the mighty RudeFM.com where he became a faithful regular playing a full spectrum of D&B. On the club circuit Catalyst has played at top london club nights such as Movement @ Bar Rumba, Tech:nology, Intent2 Supply and Renegade Hardware. September 2018 saw his first solo release on Triplicate Audio under “Catalyst .AD”, with plans to maintain a steady production line of music pushing his limits of creativity to the fullest. Whilst always never tying himself to a particular sub-genre of the music, expect to hear tracks of a wide musical variety from liquid right through to full on deep, dark D&B,with even some more down tempo 140bpm music soon to be unleashed.
