Doomer Henry AKA DoomDaWiz of Cabo Verdean descent was born and raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Doom is a Boom Bap Beat Master, an emcee and an established videographer. Shooting videos for greats such as Grand Daddy I.U., Playboi Mikey D, John Jigg$, the soulful Hip Hop duo The Good People, the legendary El Da Sensei and Sadat X, just to name a few. He holds a degree with concentrations in film, audio engineering, and multimedia. His undeniable resilience can be attributed to the Cabo Verde DNA coursing through his veins. Breathing in the Cape Verdean Proverb; “Who does not take the risk, does not taste (life),” elevates his creativity and inspires his boldness. His influences Include DJ Premier, Kenny Parker, Large Pro, Lord Finesse, Grand Daddy I.U., and J Dilla; defining himself as the “Wizard of beats” because no two beats are alike. Grand Daddy I.U. Mentor Doom for years on his beats and the music industry. In 2016 he released his beat tape Shogun followed by a second entitled Let’s Make Hip Hop Great Again. In the summer of 2018, he released his debut album The Ugly Truth; this timeless album is flooded with Dooms network of legends and underground emcees. Doom provided the album with his prodigious beats while the artists fortified every track with fire.
