Biography

Sumner James Phillips is a musician, songwriter and audio engineer living in Durham, NC. He is a member of the band Bombadil (Ramseur Records), and the owner/operator of the recording studio/performance space Mangum Street Grocery. With his solo project, Sumner James explores textural synthesis, experimental production, and wide sonic landscapes spanning between ambient and electro-folk.
