Combining alternative guitar music with electronic elements, The West View is the sound of a bit of heartache and a lot of hope. Growing up in the wide open spaces of Norfolk and now living in Hertfordshire in the orbit of London England, Jake is a former DJ and producer with gigs at iconic London venues playing alongside some of electronic music's biggest names. Following the release of the EP Silver Linings in August 2019 and live dates at Club 85 Hitchin, the Ware Music Festival and the Yaxley Festival, The West View’s second release is the upbeat alternative rock track Lifeline, released on 3rd April 2020. Lifeline was recorded, mixed and produced at Unit Studios Hertfordshire, with mastering from MPG Mastering Engineer of the year Matt Colton (Manic Street Preachers, Thom Yorke, Coldplay, James Blake). The West View's first EP Silver Linings was independently produced and released in July 2019 with mixing and mastering at Unit Studios in Hertfordshire. It features the tracks Scars, My Urban Jungle and Dependence Song alongside the title track Silver Linings.
