Embraced by the UK Grime, Drill & Trap scene, Jay began his early career as a Producer & Engineer. Working his way around London Studios, Jay finally made a home for himself @StarcityStudios where he currently resides at Head Producer. Having spent the last 5 years producing for Major & Independent Artist including Izzy Bizu, Bipolar Sunshine, Redland (NBA2k) SneakBo, Ghetts, Called Out Music & Misha B….to name a few, as well as working alongside Benny D (Plan B, Paloma Faith, Robbie Williams) Jay spends most of his life in PRODUCTION MODE. Independently navigating the music industry as Producer, Engineer & Artist Relations Jay has made himself comfortable operating with different Hats and reflects this multiplicity in his music. Inspired by Michael Jackson, B.U.D.D.Y, Music Soulchild, Jon Belion, Russ, Anderson Paak & Burna Boy (Fela Kuti) Jay also draws heavily from his Nigerian/Canadian upbringing in South London and his parents back catalogue of 80’s/90’s classics.
