David Disher is an indie pop artist, producer and film composer from Hamilton, Ontario. In his home studio, he crafts dark music that evokes the sound of pop from a bygone era, and an atmosphere influenced by his obsession with horror films from the 70’s and 80’s. David has been writing music for 15 years, beginning with an indie pop sound heavily informed by pop music from the 50’s and 60’s. In recent years, he has turned his attention to modern film music, with echoes of his early pop sound in his heavily layered and evocative production style. With his newest creation, the novelty horror-pop single “Do the Halloween Twist”, David pays homage to his formative years writing vintage-tinged pop, with a twist informed by his work as a film composer.
