The name Shortee Blitz is synonymous with quality music. Especially quality Hip-Hop. Introduced to the core elements of the culture back in the 1980s as Hip-Hop exploded out of New York City and spread across the globe, Shortee's genuine love and passion for the Bronx-born phenomenon has remained a constant driving force and key influence in his life ever since. In 2022, after years of consistently championing the releases of others, Shortee Blitz is now turning his attention and focus towards his own music. The "...1st Step" EP (which will drop on May 27th) showcases Shortee's impressive production prowess over four well-crafted tracks featuring a diverse selection of artists, including Wavy Boy Smith, Blak Twang, Joell Ortiz, Oddisee and Terri Walker. "Steel Sharpens Steel", the first single to be lifted from the EP, will be unleashed on March 4th and features UK heavyweights Sus Bully and MysDiggi trading boisterous bars over punchy drums, accompanied by laser-precise cuts and scratches. The enthusiasm and integrity that Shortee has maintained during his career can clearly be heard flowing throughout the "...1st Step" project.
