Biography

The critically acclaimed flute-playing, violin-bleeding, Danish music phenomenon Salem now republishes all their albums and announces a new album in 2019. The core of Salem is the very special relationship that exists between Kasper No Behrens and Mikkel Risbjerg. One does not capture the essence simply by talking about ' friendship ', as it is rather a kind of parallel formation process through which the two have characterised each other, used and challenged each other. In 2002 the duo hit the critics with their disrespectful, un-Danish basement-sound and their grotesk fate-tales, hard and good. When the trilogy was complete in 2005, Salem was a household band in radio, newspapers and on the live stage, with labels such as the ' most ambitious rock work of the Millennium ' (Klaus Lynggard, Information).
