The Heatwave are a dancehall soundsystem from London. They love playing dancehall live and loud, bringing energy and vibes to clubs and festivals round the world. Their raucous Hot Wuk party tours throughout the UK and they've performed all over Europe, Canada, USA, India, Australia and Jamaica. They take their carnival stageshow to festivals like Glastonbury, Outlook, Reading, Leeds, Bestival, Boomtown, 51st State and Parklife. You will find them at Notting Hill Carnival every August, playing on trucks, soundsystems, and afterparties. The Heatwave have produced music for Ding Dong, Stylo G, Mr Lexx, Vanessa Bling, Tippa Irie, Warrior Queen, Riko Dan, Keida and K More. Their single 'Walk Out Gyal' featuring Mr Lexx and Keida was shortlisted for Best Track of 2017 at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide FM awards. They present radio shows for Rinse FM, NTS and BBC 1Xtra and make mixes of their favourite tunes for your listening pleasure. They have remixed Popcaan, RDX, Red Fox and TOK, and their bootleg edits are legendary. Their releases are played by David Rodigan, Seani B, Toddla T, DJ Target, Bobby Konders, Mistajam, Robbo Ranx, Annie Mac, Ras Kwame, Lil C, Sian Anderson, DJ Nate, Tash LC, Jugglerz, and Federation Sound. The Heatwave love exploring Jamaican music's influenced on British club music like jungle, garage, grime, dubstep and funky house. In 2008, they compiled 'An England Story' for Soul Jazz Records, documenting a history of UK MCs with dancehall flavour.
