Mar Morán, vocal training began when she entered the Professional Conservatory of Music "Victoria de los Ángeles" (Madrid) where she finished her studies obtaining the "End of Grade Award" and "Extraordinary Music Award" from the Community of Madrid in the speciality of singing, under the tutelage of Elena Valdelomar. She finished her higher studies at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid with honours in singing and repertoire and with the "Premio Fin de Carrera Lola Rodríguez de Aragón" 2020. She has been awarded a scholarship by the IOA of Ghent in the programme for young talents in the speciality of opera to participate in the Opera Studio programme. Mar has performed in theatres such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona, Teatro Real of Madrid, Palau de la Música Catalana of Barcelona, Teatro Principal of Santiago de Compostela, Teatros del Canal of Madrid, Auditorio de Galicia, Auditorio Nacional de Música of Madrid, Teatro Campoamor of Oviedo, Teatro Rossini of Pesaro (Italy), Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (Vilnius/Lithuania), Muziekcentrum De Bijloke (Belgium) or Vlaamse Opera Theatre (Belgium). Mar has received numerous national and international awards such as the Concurso Internacional de Canto “Tenor Viñas” in Barcelona, Concorso Internazionale Lirico “Tebaldi Gigli Corelli” in Pesaro, Concorso Internazionale di Canto Lírico “Giulio Neri”in Siena or International Triennial Competition “Virgilijus Noreika for singer” in Vilna.
