The IZM., a New Jersey based lyricist, author, songwriter and producer, is chasing his purpose and not fame. Born Anthony Peterson to a single mother, he is a product of his influences. From the alternative sounds of Fiona Apple to the conscious sway of Common, he speaks from his own experiences and self-describes his music as alternative hip-hop, paying homage to the golden era of hip-hop. The IZM.'s "I Don't Feel God", from his King For A Day album, has been featured in the film and on the soundtrack for one of the Spike Lee joints, Da Sweet Blood of Jesus. He recently joined forces with producer UnUsual and formed Dark Alley Echoes who released their first EP, Becoming, in September 2017.
