Biography

Marcin Kuczewski is a Polish composer whose music seamlessly blends classical, electronic, and cinematic soundscapes. With a deep sense of emotion and atmosphere, his compositions draw listeners into a delicate balance between structured form and organic improvisation. Rooted in classical training at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied under Professor Teresa Manasterska, Marcin’s work is a fusion of tradition and innovation. His studies in piano improvisation with Professor Szabolcs Esztenyi further shaped his fluid and instinctive approach to composition. His portfolio spans film, television, and theater, with scores for the Polish-Czech drama "Hel", award-winning documentaries like "The Girl from a Reading Primer", German-Polish "Tschuess DDR" and a seven-year role as lead composer for the popular TV series "Na dobre i na złe". Recently, he composed the score for the video game "Wonder Legends", combining orchestral and electronic elements for an immersive soundscape. In addition to his work in gaming, he is also scoring a Italian-Polish documentary film about renowned sculptor Mitoraj. Twice a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (2014, 2020) and a Third Prize winner at the Transatlantyk International Film Music Competition (2016).
