The Tallgrass Chamber Choir, led by Artistic Director Jacob Narverud, is a professional ensemble of musicians from across the Great Plains. Founded in 2009 and named after the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the Flint Hills, their repertoire includes chant, modern editions of Renaissance and Baroque choral works, and new music written by prominent national and international composers. Tallgrass has recorded new music for choral publishers in New York (Carl Fischer Music), Chicago (Walton Music), Wisconsin (Hal Leonard Corporation), and California (Santa Barbara Music).
