Ylusive is a singer and songwriter who expresses himself in multiple genres spanning neo-soul R&B, playful pop, soft rock, and alternative hip-hop. His stage name, Ylusive, is a sensational spelling of “elusive,” signifying his ability to pursue his creative passions in multiple genres while circumventing industry boundaries to a single genre; something difficult to achieve. A Virginia native, Jeremiah “Ylusive” Morton was musically inclined as a young child. He grew up singing in church regularly and was a self-taught keyboardist. He started his professional music career in 2022 as a singer & songwriter. Battling anxiety & overcoming the loss of his mother at the age of 23, Morton began pursuing songwriting to process his grief. Whilst in the pandemic, he auditioned for The Voice twice being declined both times. With determination, he attempted one last avenue when he made the choice to become an independent artist. His personality is expressive yet easy-going; both aspects are embodied in his musical style and eclectic choices, which come alive in his range of seductive and heartfelt tracks. He released his first single titled “Coffee” in 2022, and has since released 30+ singles, 3 EPs, an album, and collaborated with artists like Willis, Trynket, Mami Mia and Isadore Noir.
