Hen.D is an audiovisual artist from Acton, London. They began recording home demos as early as 2009, finding some early success from 2015 as the lead singer and guitarist of punk band Birdsong, before using their skill as a drummer, keyboardist, composer and vocalist to begin creating personal electronic productions. Since 2020, they settled into solo experimental audiovisual work under the artist name 'skttrd', releasing six singles and a couple of EPs, and moving into the world of film alongside close collaborators Glynnebag and Richard Taylor of Anticipate Studios. ReImagination sees the launch of a new phase of their career under a new name — Hen.D — seeking to encapsulate a move into a more refined, audience-focused approach to production whilst maintaining the experimental, punk ethos of their early work, allowing it to breathe in a more consciously consumable mode. ReImagination skirts the edges of experimental and popular electronic music, seeking to explore an audio language that is euphoric, nostalgic and driving, yet engaging to a wide audience. Hen.D performs live electronic sets, often alongside Plumm, and has performed at Boomtown, Punchdrunk's immersive theatre space 'Burnt City' and countless grassroots venues.
