Awarded as "Male Pop Artist of the Year" by the PMPC Star Awards for Music on January 23, 2020. Singer/Songwriter, Marlo Mortel continues to gain success after releasing his debut album "Serye" on October 2018, wherein he wrote all the songs.
 His single "Sana Ikaw Na Nga" was used as OST for two top-rating primetime shows, Pinoy Big Brother & The General's Daughter. "I Pray", a song for his late mother, won the "Best Music Video" award and Special Citation for the "Inspirational Song" category at The Catholic Mass Media Awards on November 13, 2019.
 Writing and Producing six songs during quarantine, Marlo Mortel continues to elevate his musicality. One of his singles, "Bones" features American Idol 2019 finalist, Evelyn Cormier. 
 Now under Polyeast Records, Marlo Mortel continues to create songs that gives enlightenment through his personal experiences. “Mahina” talks about people dealing with anxiety and depression, and “Bituin” signifies inner joy & stillness. 
 Finally being able to sing about love again, "Ready to Start" is about finally opening up your heart but found yourself broken again.
