Les Dupont is a French electronic music group formed in Nice in 1994. The group is considered to be one of the founders of the IDM genre in France (intelligent dance music). After their first demos Les Dupont signed to Polygram Records. From their debut LP Miracle in 1995 to their 2015 album “Reflections", Les Dupont developed into an artistic band, fusing elements of ambient, noise, hardcore, electro. Making innovative use of sampling, they bring hours of glory to melodic IDM, poetry and even a certain philosophical sense by using inserts from Jean Cocteau and Verlaine. In 2000 they form the record label Lysis to release the band's albums. Over the course of thirteen studio albums and many live tours (Technotravel, Electronic Paris Week, IRCAM Live with artists like Laurent Garnier, Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Daft Punk, Jackson and his Computer Band etc.), they are known for theatrical, industrial-themed live performances and videos.
