Martyn Grace is a producer from the UK, currently making electronic music under the name ASINTRA. A multi-instrumentalist from a young age, Martyn began songwriting at 16 years old. With an upbringing in classic rock and pop music; he began performing in bands and recording covers during his time at university. "When the our schedules began to clash, and we couldn't find time to rehearse together, we decided to keep ourselves busy recording covers. In terms of recording set-up we had one USB microphone and that was it. All percussion was makeshift, like banging on furniture with drumsticks, and we'd occasionally have kitchen cupboards slamming in the background of recordings. It was terrible quality, but it was really quirky, all the covers had character and a completely different style to the originals. Most of all it was good fun." During his time at university, Martyn began gaining an interest in electronic music: mainly progressive house and EDM. He claims his biggest influences were producers like Galantis, Martin Garrix, Avicii, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, and KSHMR. In 2019 he moved from the UK, to the Rocky Mountains in Canada, leaving behind most of his musical equipment. As a result he focused more on making music using software, which combined with his new love of dance music, led him to produce his own electronic music. After meeting other musicians in Canada, Martyn began to produce for Jermyn Ermino, and released his first single, Heartbeat, in the summer of 2020.
