TWAIN is a hip-hop recording artist from Minneapolis, by way of Chicago. A seasoned music maker, songwriter, and lyricist-his sound strikes a balance of timeless & contemporary hip-hop energy, autobiographic tales, and wordplay purists can appreciate. Some of his live performances to date include Penn State University, Peavey Plaza, the Fine Line Music Café, the Big Turn and FOR THE LOVE music festivals, and the Midwest Basketball League's Halftime Show. A 2x Hollywood Independent Music Award and Twin Cities Hip Hop Award Nominee, and 96.3 B96 MN Homegrown Featured Artist, his work has been recognized by Audiomack and MnSpin. A proven indie music exec, he’s mentored and produced a number of acts, in addition to founding and curating the indie concert series "A NIGHT OVER SOUTH" in 2016, and "TWIN CITIES MUSIC LOUNGE" in 2018, plus more concert properties. His latest release, the special music project Midwest Mayor, dropped near the end of 2021. Some of his popular songs are the smash "Polo Suit", mega-hit "Joliet" (feat. Cariah Brinaé), “Perspective”, "Nu & U" (feat. Jay Jeminii) and "Changes" (feat.
