Zane Carney is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer hailed as a “massive guitar player” by Thundercat and named “the future of electric guitar” by HuffPost. Carney’s discography includes playing on John Mayer’s “Paradise Valley,” Thundercat’s “Drunk,” and John Daversa Big Band’s GRAMMY® Nominated “Kaleidoscope Eyes.” He co-founded a critically-acclaimed virtuosic rock group called CARNEY who opened for U2 and as a solo artist he has performed shows around the world including Japan, Europe, Canada, Mexico and USA, most notably headlining iconic venues such as El Rey, Troubadour and The Bowery Ballroom. Over the years, Zane has performed with Steven Tyler, Stevie Wonder, Keith Urban, Kamasi Washington, Sam Gendel, and many more as a featured artist and guitarist. More recently, he has formed a band with Evan Rachel Wood called EVAN + ZANE that features his film-score meets jazz-virtuoso brand of live orchestrated guitar work. Carney was born in New York City, studied studio/jazz guitar at USC’s Thornton School of Music, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
