Ama Akroma born in Nov. 1988, is a Singer/Vocalist of Akan origin, born and raised in Hannover Germany. Her 1st steps in music started in church at the age of 4. When her siblings gifted her her 1st microphone the seed was planted. 8years of Musicals and choir work in school were a big part of her education. After a mid long break full of finding her path and self on it she started as a backup singer in a Hannoveranian band named SOUL IN MIND, who were mostly playing Mento, Reggae, and Calypso classics,for 5 years. In that band finally finding the courage to sing loud and put her soul into her singing, she found her voice. She then started her 1st steps as an artist where she played her own and cover songs on the ukulele and the guitar. She is still active as a backup singer and worked with artists like Alicia Cibola, Rebellion the recaller and Admiral Tibet on stage and and many others in the studio. Currently she is working with the band Amaroots and jamaica based Dubschool. In Jamaica Ama has performed on platforms like Kingston Night Market and Original Dancehall Thursdays, some charity performances and is part of Dubschool Jamaica. Ama's music takes you on a meditative journey through landscapes of Soul, Reggae a touch of Jazz, trad african influences and spoken word, which might bring you into a space of introspection...
