The son of two professional funk drummers, Grammy-nominated drummer/producer Adam Deitch is among the most accomplished musicians of his generation. Closely following his arrival at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston in 1994, he was scooped up by the Average White Band for a lengthy stint on their drum seat. Virtuoso jazz guitarist and Miles Davis alum John Scofield drafted Deitch to man the kit for his celebrated Uberjam band for several years. Adam soon scored production placements on major label releases from Redman, Talib Kweli, 50Cent, Pharoahe Monch, and MF Doom. Deitch has also recorded sessions for releases by Justin Timberlake, Wyclef Jean/The Fugees, DJ Quik, and toured with Meshell Ndegeocello. Deitch has been nominated for several Grammy Awards, for his work on Ledesi’s Turn Me Loose, co-writing and production for Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi, Matisyahu and Italian rap sensation Fabri Fibra. Also appeared in producer Pretty Lights’ all-star ensemble the Analog Future Band (2012/2013) and contributed to his 2012 Grammy winning LP A Color Map of the Sun.
