O'Swald is a Berlin based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. He uses various genres such as jazz, indie soul, indie pop, funk and new wave and combines multi-layered harmonies, acoustic and electronic sounds into rhythmic, dreamy soundscapes. In this way O'Swald forms his own melancholic and at the same time optimistic sound. In his lyrics he deals with his own growing up, observes everyday life, questions social conventions and directs the view on fragile relationships, emotional instability and the longing for closeness and freedom.
