Born in 1998, a production duo featuring ATOK and KimKopii, Nineti8, blooms in the music industry with their distinct sounds which propelled them into instant stars. The duo hailed from Kedah, Malaysia, first mark their arrival in the industry with their debut single “Bintang Hati”, in January 2018. The track’s sensual urban beats along with introspective lyrical direction on a love story, launched themselves as a talent to look out for and they haven’t looked back since. Fusing various styles and mixing influences, Nineti8 thrives in delivering arts that combine the hip hop and dance pop elements with a mix of R&B to form a sound that is uniquely their own. The men behind the duo are Alif Aiman better known as ATOK, who is a well-known producer. Alongside him is Rifqi better known as KimKopii, who is a rapper and singer that is in charge of the lyrical content and performance. In May 2018, they released their fourth single “In The Night” that would carry the duo to new heights. Featuring the vocals of Amin Salmee, an in demand singer-songwriter and producer that has various hits and festival performances under his belt. But the biggest track of the duo so far was yet to come. They released “Raksasa” in August 2018, which is their most streamed song on Spotify and the track is featured in Spotify Malaysia’s Pop Terkini! Playlist.
