ALOO is the experimental electro-pop solo project of Danish multi-instrumentalist and producer Sofie Søe. Her stories of life in Berlin and Copenhagen are shared and unapologetically delivered by her sensitive yet powerful vocal on top of a rich blend of synthesizers, drum machines and cinematic string arrangements. With two academic degrees under her belt so far, her passion for both mathematics and music compliment each other in her approach to composition and production. ALOO has gained attention both in Denmark and abroad since the release of her debut EP “FØR”. ALOO’s sophomore EP "Berlin" was released in June 2023, along with the singles “Paint you in Red” and “Don't Wanna Wait”. Working actively for better diversity and inclusion in the music industry, Søe also plays a key role in the feminist synthesizer-based collective and label SØNTH collective, organizing compilation albums, hosting live events and residencies with 30+ female/non-binary/transgendered artists and producers in Scandinavia over the past 5 years.
