Johny, formerly known as John M. Locust JR., was raised in a Christian household; however, in his teenage years he strayed from God and it wasn’t until 2017 that he decided to pursue a genuine relationship with God. Inspired by his newfound relationship with God, Johny Locus made the decision to transition from secular rap to Christian rap. Before making this transition, Johny Locus released five albums and multiple features with other D.C. rappers. He has performed all over the DMV area promoting his unique take on rap. To-date, Johny Locus has released many Christian rap songs and his first debut Christian album: Discipleship (2023).
