Having been nominated for a prestigious MOBO Awards in 2011, and scoring a UK Independent Number 1 Single with his song "Better", he has since gone on to work both on stage and in the studio with the likes of Emeli Sandé, Mabel, Stormzy, Clean Bandit and many more. Mike always found inspiration from the great legends of music, growing up listening to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin & Karen Carpenter which soon saw him fall in love with the art of songwriting. Never shy of pouring his heart into words, he always aims to tell a story of sheer emotion and honesty through his lyrics. Most recently drawing inspiration from Country Soul music and modern Pop, he has honed in on a sound that he feels truly describes him as an artist and his latest project "Little Lights" displays exactly that.
