The black of the city is the canvas of CRL&SAF´s music - the haunting echoes of cinematic soundscapes that project their narrative as a stream of rapid edits. Red and white flashes across the eyes on a sea of endless black. If ever the dense confusions of our time had a parallel in music it would be these 'songs', although soundtracks would be more apt. You may feel lost listening to these tracks - not since the brutal birth of Drum and Bass, has the urban existential voice been so clear. CRL a Swedish composer, brought up in the countryside has been creating music since a young age, starting as a vocalist in Alt Rock bands and over time transitioning into electronic music and cinematic soundscapes. SAF a British Producer, DJ , growing up in Manchester and London, immersed and shaping dance music from House to Disco, Rave to Techno and the sounds in between. A chance meeting in an old basement studio in a rundown neighbourhood of Barcelona, brought two very different people together and what started as a collaboration of free flowing studio sessions developed into the band CRL&SAF, becoming close friends in the process of developing their sound and stories. CRL&SAF endeavour to make songs that resonate beyond the dance floor.
