Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Anne Cawrse is a composer of orchestral, chamber, solo and choral works. Her music is described as ‘beguilingly beautiful’ and ‘profoundly telling’, and she has been commissioned by many of Australia’s leading orchestras, ensembles, and soloists. With a particular love of text setting, Anne has been prolific as a composer of art song and choral works, writing music for performers including the Adelaide Chamber Singers and Greta Bradman. Anne holds PhD in Composition from the University of Adelaide, where she lectures in Music Theory and Composition.
