Born in San Juan, LuisGa Nuñez has been tied to music from an early age. From its beginnings, LuisGa developed an interest in the national genres of Puerto Rico: Bomba and Plena. Son of multi Grammy's nominated artist Gary Nuñez, director and founder of Plena Libre, his development in Puerto Rican music has occurred since he was 5 years old going through the Escuela Libre de Musica, University of Puerto Rico and New York University. His versatility has led him to develop as a bassist, singer, percussionist, composer, arranger, and producer. After performing in more than 7 countries and 50 cities with various groups, in 2021 he began his solo career. His music brings new colors to the Bomba and Plena genres, fusing them with modern sounds and arrangements alongside provocative and contemporary lyrics. LuisGa seeks to expand the limits of Puerto Rican music while remaining tied to roots and traditions. His music invites you to dance and energy is an integral part of his show.
