Guap Child, formerly known as ‘E Guapo’, is a rising artist from Macon, GA. While striving to overcome the hardships of poverty and the many trials due to these challenging circumstances during his upbringing, Guap Child eventually decided to leave for college where he sought to become an Electrical Engineer. Unfortunately, while there he loss a close friend, by the name of Lil Joe due to gun violence. During this time Guap Child began to journal lyrics to express himself and began using music as a coping mechanism. While attending college, he was later arrested and ended up dropping out to pursue music wholeheartedly shortly after. In 2020, he released his first single “Trapped” under the moniker ‘E Guapo’. After releasing a number of tracks under this name from 2020 to late 2021, he began catching the attention of fans with his heartfelt music that gives the listeners a sense of motivation for those that have been through similar trials which they strive to overcome. Through his music, Guap Child has naturally become an advocate for staying true to oneself and chasing your dreams. With influences from artists such as J.Cole & Rod Wave, Guap Child seeks to be known for genuine real music that displays his true self through his work without having to portray an image or persona of a character while still producing quality music that people can relate to.
