Chicago is the home of many emerging stars aiming to shine through the dark stigma attached to the city's current hip-hop scene. Cam Jae, a native son to the Windy City's Southside, feels he was born to do just that. Cam has been honing his craft for years starting off with his first mixtape titled, Hermosa The Movie Vol. 1. His lucid lyricism and distinct baritone timbre have new fans enlisting as grateful constituents daily. Cam Jae's musical influences range from "Prince to Drake back to Twista ..." and can be heard in traces throughout his catalog. "You're Welcome" is the upcoming EP produced mostly by in-house producer, Kendall P and released by their parent label, Gravity Music. This particular brand of "trap soul" music has drawn comparisons to artists like 6LACK and K CAMP, leading to collaborations with some of the industry's elite producers for his follow up to "You're Welcome", his debut album, "Grateful".
