The Early Years I was born and raised in the streets of Mount Pleasant—located in Northeast Texas. Growing up, I dodged my dysfunctional household in the streets. I saw some hard things, but I also found inspiration. When the walls felt like they were closing in at home, I turned to music. It kept me sane. My dad noticed my musical gift early on. He put me on stage when I was just twelve years old, and by fifteen, I was writing my own rhymes. I wrote about the things I saw in the streets—the things that intrigued me about the lifestyles of true hustlers. It unleashed an entirely new world for me, and I knew that being an artist was my life at eighteen. The Art & Science of the Hustle Everyone wants to make it in the rap game, but not everyone can. It takes skill beyond just writing bars. You have to understand the art AND the science of hustle. I learned this early on and it's something that I take pride in. So, I studied the industry and figured out how to brand myself as a rap artist. I knew rap was taking a fall out, but I also knew that putting East Texas on the map was my calling—I knew I could breathe life back into the game. So I went full speed ahead. I invested in myself, performing at as many shows as possible. I learned how to get my songs on the radio. I did whatever it took to make my dreams a reality. And it paid off. Keepin' It Lit I'm building my legacy from the ground up. I'm doing things my way—on my own terms. And I'm here to stay.
